Camille Tops !

This colorful tee-style top gives lots of fashion options. It can be dressed up for the office with a skirt or pants, or worn with jeans a casual weekend.
FINISHED SIZES: Instructions given fit size small; changes for medium, large/X-large/2X-large/ 3X-large are in [ ].
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Bust: 38 inches (small) [44 inches (medium), 50 inches (large/X-large/ 2X-large/3X-large)]
Length: 22 inches (small) [22 inches (medium), 231/2 inches (large/X-large/ 2X-large/3X-large)]
MATERIALS: Omega Dalia medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn (31/2 oz/404 yds/100g per ball): 5 [6, 7] balls #505 apache
Size F/5/3.75mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle
GAUGE: 8 cross-sts = 3 inches; 8 cross-st rows = 3 inches
Take time to check gauge.
PATTERN NOTES
Right side is side with raised row created by front post half double crochet on wrong side.
Chain-4 at beginning of row counts as first treble crochet unless otherwise stated.
Chain-2 at beginning of row counts as first half double crochet unless otherwise stated.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Row 1: Ch 57, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (56 sc)

Row 3: Ch 4, cross-st across, ending with tr in last st, turn.

Rows 54-76 [58-84, 62-92]: [Rep rows 2-5 consecutively] 6 [7, 8] times, ending last rep with row 4.
Row 77 [85,93]: Ch 2, fphdc around 2nd hdc and each of next 55 hdc, hdc in each hdc to end of row, turn. Fasten off.
Row 78 [86,94]: Join to first fphdc for 2nd sleeve, ch 4, cross-st across, ending with tr in last st, turn. (27 cross-sts for all sizes)
Rows 79-103 [87-111, 95-119]: [Rep rows 3-6 consecutively] 7 [7, 7] times, ending last rep with row 3.

Getting started: Worked same as Front without Neckline Split.

Assembly
Sew side and arm seams with WS tog. Sew shoulder seams.
Arm Band
Rnd 1: Join to underarm seam, ch 2, hdc in next sc and each sc around, join in 2nd ch of beg ch-2.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, [fphdc around next st, bphdc (see Stitch Guide) around next st] around, join in 2nd ch of beg ch-2. Fasten off.
Bottom Band
Rnd 1: Join to bottom side seam, ch 2, [2 hdc at end of each hdc row, hdc at end of next tr row, hdc in connecting Ip between 2 tr rows, hdc at end of next tr row] around, join in 2nd ch of beg ch-2.
Rnds 2-11: Ch 2, [fphdc around next st, bphdc around next st] around, join in 2nd ch of beg ch-2. At end of last rnd, fasten off.
Neck Border
Join to right front corner of garment, ch 1, sc in same st, [2 sc at end of next tr row, sc in connecting lp between 2 tr rows, 2 sc at end of next tr row, sc at end of next hdc row, 2 sc at end of next hdc row] around, ending with 2 sc at left front corner of garment, turn work clockwise to continue down and up front opening, sl st down left side and up right side, easing at bottom of opening, turn work clockwise to continue around neck opening, sl st in beg ch-1, sl st in each sc around, ending with sl st in each of 2 sc at left front corner. Fasten off.

  5. I have purchased the 60.00 worth of yarn and now reading the size in the pattern now doesn't make any sense. med bust 44 inches. largge/xlarge/2xlarge and 3xlarge are all the same bust size. 50 inches. Am I reading that right? I need help..Jan

  6. Also you said 8 cross stitch equal 3 inches. The length of row 2 is 27 cross stitches which is a little over 10 inches long. The front of the top is only 10 inches long??? Doesn't make sense to me. I just threw 60.00 away on yarn.

    1. I think it is worked sideways. So you start at the sleeve (your 27 cross stitches) and then work across to the middle of the front / back.
      I hope you've found some other lovely project for your yarn!
